I had a neighbor when I was younger living in upstate NY, in the 80's, who shot and reloaded a .22 Hornet, woodchuck killing machine. That was way before the .223 became as popular and ammo available as it is today. He seemed to do good with his reloads and don't think he ever had any issues.
You can buy a box of hornets at BassPro for 20 bucks, doesn't seem worthwhile to reload...
to reload #100 (if you have the dies and brass) should be ball park under 40$ depending on how primo you want the bullets. #100 primers 5$, powder 25-35$ if you buy it in a store (no hazmat fee) and should load at least 200+ rounds, a good bullet like a sierra (no not the VERY top of the line stuff) app 20-25$/100 tops. your time is free. the only time I buy pre-made rifle ammo is to get the brass or just to try something I wouldn't want to make.
Thanks for the help all, I love this gun but bullets anit cheap for it
