Opening morning shot 2 nice does about 15 min's apart from each other. They ended up just a few yards from each other (see pic) Was tagged out by 7:30 :toast: This morning I saw a few does at first light, they stayed just out of range. I got down and did some walking. Shot a doe a little far back and watched her walk off. I gave her an hour and a half and began following the blood. It was difficult seeing I'm hunting in a flood zone. :bh: I managed to follow the trail for a mile or so. I heard something just off to my right so I droped down to my knees and pulled an arrow from my quiver. It was a 6 point about 18 yards out. I drew back as low as I could get, popped up and let an arrow rip. THWACK he bolted about 150 yards and tumbled. :toast: Then I spent some more time searching for the doe but never recovered her. Ended up seeing 20+ deer this weekend. Decided not to hunt this afternoon and catch up on my sleep.
