I headed out this morning for a quick Am hunt. When I arrived I turned the truck off and turned around to grab my bow only to see a deer looking threw my back window. :no It ran off right towards my stand. When I got to my stand it jumped back up and started blowing :censored So I figured that was probably it for me. I sat in my stand for about 2:30 mins and saw one other deer running away from my truck.
I figured I'd get down and look for the deer on foot. About 300 yards from my stand is a fence line, so I followed it. About 100 yards down the line I jumped up two LARGE wide racked bucks. :eek they didn't slow down for a second. At that point I gave up and grabbed my trail cam and moved it to the fence line. Hopefully they hang around and I can pattern them A little better. I'm really surprised I have never seen these bucks before with all the time I have spent in this area. Now I just need them to slip up just once. :gangsta

LOL No I was lazy and parked about 75 yards from my stand. So I could see the deer walking down the trail and watch them see my truck, freak out, and come running back towards my stand. It has worked before in this spot but this time they took the other escape rout instead of going down the trail in front of me. :devil

It's funny you park like that. I do the same thing in the cypress with my rhino. I've gotten to watch quite a few deer see it and go around it so I park off another trail that has gotten them to come around to where it gets them closer to the trail I'm sitting on. 2 weeks ago I parked too close and watched 2 different sets of does and a 6 and spike see it and go the other way so I guess it works both ways. During turkey season last year I came back to my rhino after a few hour walk about and standing 5' from my rhino was a doe and yearling standing there feeding. They didn't spook at all and kind of just walked off. By the time I got to my camera they were only 40 yds away and let me walk with them and snap a few pics.
