I had always heard about this and never seen it actually done. A couple of our new hunt club members have been doing it for years and let me tell you it is pretty slick. If you don't know, you partially skin the deer. Split the skin down the legs and down the belly. Ring the skin around the legs and neck. Put a golf ball under the skin and a slip knot around it. Hook the other end to a ATV and drive off. The skin comes off the deer like a banana peel. It keeps the meat clean and free of hair

in the vid. i didnt see the application of a gulf ball.. i just saw them pull the skin off.
i have heard of people doing this with the trailer hitch as well as a golf ball, seen many variations, using a crank like on a boat trailer, if you didnt have a vehicle handy, its not as fast but does work.
