I have had a Weatherby PA-o8 shotgun for over a year. It doesn't shoot slugs that well. I can hit the paper with my old monkey wards 12 gauge better and its over 50 years old. So spent 160.00 for a slug barrel. It only has a mount for a scope and no rifle sights. Any ideas about a good scope. I hunt Avon Park. No rifles are allowed.

I have a Nikon Omega on a Hastings rifled barrel. (Rem 11-87) Very happy with the setup.

I have two a Bushnell and a Nikon. For accuracy test all slugs like you do with you BP. With my 12 gage I can nail a bowling pin at 100 yards with my smooth bore or I can have a 2 foot pattern. Its the difference between brand types velocity weight.

I pulled the Simmons off my H&R Ultraslug after one season. Moved a 1x4x20 leupold onto it using DNZ mounts, best thing I did. The Simmons never lost its zero and held up to the abuse but my eyes are getting old, I need quality now more than ever. Actually thinking about moving to an illuminated Leupold for this upcoming season, eyes seem to be getting worse.
