Is it me or does it seem to be getting later and later every year? Although Im seeing a lot of scrapes and rubs, I havent seen the first buck chasing, trailing, looking or anything...Havent seen many horns to really even speak of. Well I take that back I saw a nice 6 point the other evening. And yes, I turned his lights out.

I hunt in North/central Florida (Lafayette county) and it was about 3 weeks late this year

I agree, scrapes and rubs everywhere but the does are all alone. I did bust the deer in my avatar on Jan 25 coming to a bleat but his neck was just beginning to swell. Have you seen that they're bumping hunting season up a week next year to keep up with the rut?

I hunt Bay county and still no real sign of the rut. Last year was late and looks as if this year will be the same. Now the weather man is calling for 70 deg temps next week. I guess I will have to break out the camo flip flops.
