I'm thinkin' I'm gonna set the feeder to go off at 11:00 and sleep in,maybe stop at TC's and get some breakfast. Be there at 10:45,have it drug back to the truck by 11:30 back at camp by noon ,put it in the cooler by 12:30 drink a few Miller Lites ,take a nap till 4:00 stop at TC's and bullshit for an hour then back to the stand. Probably see a bunch of hogs at 6:00 take some pictures of them unless I see a buck then I'll shoot it,then back to camp.
some of the best hunting is in midday because deer become accustomed to hunter activity and have learned to avoid certain movement at times when hunters are not!
I definitely watch the feed times. I always sit early and late but if it's a midday hunt I may sit all day. This weekend I'll stay in the stand till 11 or 12 just to see if the other guys on the lease get them moving when they leave. :shifty Plan on getting lunch then and checking out a clearcut on the other side of property that's not hunted. Found some bedding areas over there a few months ago and haven't had a chance to look for a good tree to put a climber. I'll be back in the stand by 3. :cool2
Opening weekend for archery is probably a good weekend to spend all day in the stand. The deer havent seen a hunter in months so anything can happen
yea im going sat and sunday plan on staying all day both days hopefully, this is my first bow season and i been so anxious this past week to go, i got all my stuff ready to go its gonna be a hot one though thats for sure
