Has anyone used deer decoys while hunting? If so please tell your experiences.
I can just imagine a decoy on public land in Florida with all these rednecks
I wouldn't even think about using one during gun season, but in archery I was thinking it my be helpful.

My advice, make sure if you set one, make sure that it isnt between you and any place someone has an open shooting lane from any distance off. 🙄
A decoy in the middle of archery where I hunt would be deadly.
The deer absolutely respond well to can calls and grunt calls. I called in a pile of deer last year that would come sneaking in with eyes and ears peeled back looking for the sound. They never would close that last 10 yards or so needed for a bow shot
Sorta like turkey hunting, the visual might seal the deal.
I wonder if I could find an old mounted doe head on craigslist and hang it on a tree by my stand 😆
