I wish this state did like some of the northern states and required the harvesting of a doe prior to the harvesting of a buck. This state is over run with does.

I had a girlfriend once who always bugged me to take her hunting. She hated guns, was a vegetarian, couldn't stand the outdoors, thought Disney's Bambi deserved an Oscar award, and was a member of PETA.
I always figured she wanted to mess up my hunt, so I never took her. Finally after months of pestering me I asked her.
"Name one skill you possess that would benefit me taking you."
She looked at my crotch and said to me "I can tell the difference between 5" and 7" from 300 yards away"

EDIT: Sorry if that was corny. The above joke was thought up in an intoxicated state

Why in the world would you want earn-a-buck in Fl. That itself is one of the dumbest things ever to happen to hunters. I have read so many horror stories about guys in Wisconsin not being able to take the buck of a lifetime because of a retarded law. Why not just a few doe tags or something like that if your so over run with deer?

You guys need to quit comparing Northern states deer to Florida. The deer populations or dynamics are not even close. Jeff and I don't always agree on antler restrictions, but I will agree with him on this "ear a buck" gimmick. It would deplete our deer herd in a matter of a few years
