Just got back from camp....deer were rutting and had a great time. One of my neighbors up there who helps me quite a bit got a very nice buck, and he shot him on my place. This guy has been waiting for a good deer and has passed on a lot of bucks. He is always the first one to help me when I have a project so I was really happy that he finally got the one he wanted. We were finishing up my deck project, he was tired and wasnt going to hunt, but I talked him into sitting on one of my favorites stands on a plot between two creeks and next to a stand of white oaks....beautiful spot. This plot also had a pretty big active scrape on the far end under a little oak tree. Anyway....I dont even go to the woods that afternoon since Im cooking sausage and chili for the guys for the evening meal and I hear him shoot. My phone rings, its him, and I figure he needs me to bring the 4 wheeler to haul out a doe. This guy is pretty unshakeable but when I heard him say....It's not a doe, and he was pretty fired up, I knew it was going to be a good one....The buck walked out to the plot, went straight to the scrape, and now he's going to be on my buddy's wall...I am very happy for this guy....he deserves it. We had a heck of a time getting this buck on the front of my four wheeler....a real brute.

That's a great buck your friend killed and sounds like he deserves a good one! Looks like another good rack in the cooler , don't be holdin' out on us :nono . Did your buddies deer come through one of the food plots you had posted recently? It is always neat to see something like this play out! :clap
