Get you a 100 rounds of 12 gauge, a shotgun and go on a dove hunt. You think you're a good shot, OK... I have spent over 25 years on the trap, skeet and sporting clays fields, shot in three different countries while I was in the service, and consider myself an above average trap and sporting clays shooter (Average 83-88 of 100 on a good day). Everytime I shoot doves it's like a completely new experience. They never fly the same way, not one. Starting out, if your a good shot with a shotgun it will take you 3-5 rounds per bird to finally get one to fall. Besides, a round of 100 clay targets thrown at a sporting clays range today will run you $40-$50 and shooting at Doves is a hell of a good time, especially with a group of friends. Bottom line, if I was just looking for meat or poultry, I'd personally go to Publix!

LOL Chicken is cheaper...I do it for the sport and have since I was 6. it is a tradition in So TX so here we are in dove poor FL but I still go. I have 4 WMA fields and my deer lease to shoot and then the outfitter if he calls. Can't wait!
