no planted fields? what else do you offer, stands/blinds, transport, cold drinks, bbq? 100$ seems stiff for a strict diy hunt with no amenities.
would like to go dove hunting love some dove wrapped in bacon and stuffed with a jalapeno, but i can shoot hogs for 100, and dove fields charge 50 tops some are 25, i feel 100 is high.
That's a good question? Is the hunt over native planted fields (corn, sunflowers, millet, soy beans, etc.) or is it native glass lands and cow pastures? Also, is there a water source nearby, ie. ponds and/or lakes near the fields? Without a water source and planted crops there isn't to much incentive for the birds, IMHO. We need some more information please.
still workn it all out..its native grassses an theres 3 ponds..theres lots of dove here right now..its a palm farm so theres plenty of places to sit up an hide..the $100. was just a figure at first to see what people thought..the final price will be determined by the farm owner but will run the $50. by him..its a 250 acre farm but will only accomdate 10 people tops becuse theres house across the property lines so we will have to sit up down the middle of the property so no shot falls across the lines..by dove season theres usually around 300 birds atleast an we've only shot 1 time ever so this yr i decided to give it a go.
Sounds good deerhunter. Count me in for 2 hunters for sure then. PM me the information, address and your contact information when we get closer to the date.
