PM Returned!! Hoo Rah!!!!
just so you fellas know you dont have to pay to hunt doves. almost every wma has a section that says something to the effect of, centerfire shotguns may be used to take migratory birds in season" . i take this to mean that no matter the season on wma...archery, muzzleloader, gen gun, you can take your shotgun out and shoot doves when season opens. i went to ocala last year to scout for deer, during 1st phase. scouted till 11 had a bite of lunch, at 12 i got out the shotgun and started looking for doves. pushed 6 off the trees they were in and pow. dove dinner. not easy to find em without a dog but still tasty. and no not your typical dove hunt, but very cheap.
remember guys dove are migratory birds so plug your shotguns and make sure your stamps are up to date, just noticed my migratory stamp expired 3/31/11 when everything else is good till 10 23/11. don't quite get that, glad I checked.

Agree. Myakka SGA is loaded with dove. I Usually hunt hogs in the morning. Dove shooting from noon till early PM (per regulation schedule) and back to hogs. Lot of fun and no need to pay (other than the stamps).
Send me a pm with info. I will go 10/01 also.
