I try to keep an open mind, but when a career politician tells the American public "we have to pass it in order to see what is in it" (Nancy Pelosi) it gives me all kinds of reservations about welcoming such a law on the books.

it's a no win for everyone but the insurance companies. may as well give them the keys to fort Knox. now we have to trust that they are gonna do what's right and in our best interest now that they have the monopoly of all time, is the gov't gonna stop them when they want to raise the rates change coverage and deny claims? yes more people will have health insurance by arm twisting and forcing it down our throats and the young/relatively healthy and those that are health conscious and don't smoke/drink/eat well and exercise regularly are gonna foot the bill for the chronically ill. it is a problem that simply cannot be fixed to everyones satisfaction, and not just in this country but everywhere.

// This //.....They can't control them when it comes to property insurance in this state, how in the h*ll are they going to try and control them on healthcare.

You know, the funny thing is...professionally I will benefit from this. I am a commercial broker who specializes in medical real estate. You take this ruling along with the fact that every day for the next 20 years, +/- 11,000 people will turn 65 and anyone can see the huge need for medical services moving forward. The problem I see is that for every senior retiring there are 5 people still of working age. in the next 20 years that ratio is going to go from 5:1 to 3:1, how in the world are we going to afford this on top of the issues we have with social security......

Personally, I am against it. I hate anything being forced on me. To each his own but the less the government is involved in my day to day decisions the better.
