Most of my forebears came on the Mayflower and such. However, my great-grandmother came from Germany before WWI. She and her family worked hard to get here and stay here. They endured some persecution during WWI, but did not complain becaus ethey understood the fears and the need for their neighbors to be secure. They went through it again during WWII- despite having 4 (FOUR) sons and grandsons fighting in the U.S. military. They never went crying about being 'profiled', etc.
My wife's garndparents came from Portugal. They changed their name to fit in. In her grandfather's words, "we are AMERICANS now. Portugal had no life for us, we are Americans!" They didn't complain that the signs were all in English. They learned to read and write, and they worked HARD for everything they got in this country. My late father-inlaw had zero tolerance for lazy people!!!

excellent post! you are totally right! I served my country in the marine corps durring the 1st gulf war and you know what? Id do it AGAIN if i was called up. this country is being overrun by these immigrents who think that we owe them everything... i think they might have missunderstood the term" America land of the free home of the brave" If they understood english ........ they think it means america land where everything is is free all you have to do is be brave and get in illegally.... :proud and if you do get caught we just ship you right back so you can try again.

You want in, then you MUST go thru the paperwork and red-tape and prove that you are worthy of being an american. Then when you get your green card, LEARN ENGLISH, dont ever us your native language to speak to a US citizen ever again, buy a US flag, put it up in your yard/home and say the pledge of allegance with the rest of the red-blooded americans who defend it every day. Then grab a rifle and stand a post with me on the wall protecting our borders.
If you can do this then we will let you stay here. If not, then get the HECK out of my Country and crawl back under that rock your shitty government gives you to live under.
