Ok post up any experiences you might have had or sightings you might remember!
Well last time i was camping in brooksville with martinarcher we heard these weird animal screams in the didtance.. IT was not a coyote or anything.. it was weird as hell.. almost all night.. It sounded like a rooster speaking a different language.. LOL
That was a screech owl.
I have not had an experience but I have a good friend who has. I'll try to tell it how he told me:
This was in Green Swamp back about 15 years ago. He had hunted the afternoon and walked back to his truck right at dark. As you know, when you get out to the road you have a little bit of light left. He was standing there waiting on his partner to walk out when he notices something walk out in the road in front of him.
The way he described it was a hairy figure between 6-7 feet tall and covered in long stringy hair. He said the figure turned toward him and saw him. When it saw him it sorta squatted down and looked at him. It stood back up and ran on across the road. About that time his buddy walked out and he told him what he had just seen. They walked down there and there were human like tracks in the dirt where it ran across. He also said the smell was like someone who hadn't bathed in a year.
They told the game warden at the check station. The GW said that there was a report of an escapee out there and that is prolly what he saw. He swears this thing was covered in hair and could see it even though it was getting dark. This guy is a pretty straight shooter and I have no reason to doubt what he said
