Alex Diner, Gainesville, FL; 70 yrs. old on Nov. 16, retired scientist from USDA Forest Service, obsessive, compulsive collector of an embarrassingly large list of unrelated "stuff", also have 3 kayaks, 1 canoe and 1 big boat that has sat in garage for last 9 years. I use a yak or canoe because it's easy....and because I don't know anyone for a partner. I hunt (LOVE IT!!), using an absurd collection of wonderful European firearms .... and several American ones, I love (used to, and would again) wandering out west, rockhounding, finding Ancient campsites, seeing what's over the horizon, finding mom 'n pop small cafes offering good chile rellenos, and I must run now....pick up my wife at physical therapist....she is handicapped......cannot wander with me.....so if anyone out there wants to go out and play sometime....please give me a holler.

Welcome! Looking forward to getting to know you, it sounds like you might have a few stories to share! I know what you mean about rockhounding out west, visiting ancient places, discovering new places. If I wasn't living in Florida, the Southwest would be my next choice. Spent many an hour wandering around picking up rocks and interesting stuff. And it's hard to beat a good chile rellenos!
