Hello All,
I'm mostly an offshore fisherman with on occassion inshore fishing trip mixed in. I've been fishing out of Steinhatchee, Cedar Key, and Crystal River mostly for the past 5 years, from inshore all the way out to the Middle Grounds,and now with all the closures for Gags and Red Snapper, I've started trolling out of St. Augustine for wahoo.
Have my own boat and fish with buddies on their boats. Nothing gets my heart pumping more than a screaming drag or wenchen up a Gag or Snapper.

Welcome to the forum. I have a house in Steinhatchee and am up there just about every weekend. If you ever need a rider to chip in, let me know. Or if you want to trade a fishing trip for a hog hunt. My hunting lease is 20 minutes from there
I have a boat there also but is a bay boat and can't get offshore.

I know what you mean about the screaming drag and the fighting the weight of a big fish. Just gets your blood pumping and your mind racing as you try to figure out what it might be, how big it is, what it's next move might be, etc. I get to fish offshore a few times a year out of Englewood with my dad, and it's always a blast. Wahoo is one species I'd really love to get ahold of as well. I've been considering a charter out of Ft Lauderdale or West Palm area for those and some of the other snapper and grouper you can't catch in the Gulf.
