New to Florida and Hunting all the way from Alaska

Hello everyone. I am military spouse and computer geek that just relocated here to Florida from Alaska. Ya, I know, a little bit of a switch. I was raised in Wisconsin, but unfortunately never got into hunting due to my family did not participate in it. So here I am at the tender age of 35 getting into the sport. I hope to learn along with my 10 year old son while we share some good old father son time. I do love to fish though and have for many years. It was awesome fishing in Alaska, but I can't wait to try my hand at some deep blue salt water fishing and also hitting the bayou's. My plans so far are to try my hand at small game and deer this season as well. I look forward to chatting with you all and learning what I can from your experiences. Feel free to share any unsolicited advice. My ear is always open.
