Greetings All,

New member to FOHaF. I'm a native of Florida - born/raised in Miami. Most of my outdoor expereince comes from paddling/fishing/camping in the Everglades (10,000 Islands, Florida Bay, Whitewater Bay...) and some of the rivers around Ocala.

I've been collecting and shooting guns for quite sometime but it's only been the last few years that I've taken an interest in hunting. I have since killed a few pigs and an aoudad sheep in Texas but no whitetails. This coming season, I'd like to pack into one of the FWC management areas and could use some advice.

Which of the forums would be best to discuss pack-in hunting trips and get some tips on choosing an area?

I know some guys pack it into the Big Cypress.Ive read reports of guys canoing in, then hiking in and setting camp. It is not an easy trip, and separates the men from boys
