Carpal tunnel makes you disabled?

Before my wife had CT surgery, she couldn't hold an ink pen without dropping it. It can be darn sure debilitating.

IM pretty sure that me might be disabled AND have carpal tunnel. I have carpal tunnel but if i broke a let id in a situation this member might be in..
