Hello folks,
My name is Douglas Boswell. I have just moved with my beautiful wife Katie from the Atlanta area. We may have ran in to one or two of you on the GON boards at some point. I found this place while trying to find a turkey lease. Always good to have a few outdoors folk around, and through previous experiences I've learned that message boards are full of them.
I'll be the first to admit that I can only pretend to know anything about saltwater fishing, and I'm not huge on freshwater fishing. I'll hunt anything that walks on land though. Our move to Florida was unplanned to say the least. (I'm sure I'll go more into details on this as the comfort level grows.) And it's been tough going from a 900 acre year round North Georgia lease to knocking on doors praying to get access to 20 acre farms to bust a thunderchicken. Upon moving we had to sell off EVERYTHING hunting related to finance the move. So we are in the process of rebuilding both physically and spiritually. I don't know if we'll make Florida our home or just a pit stop. It depends highly on if we can fill the void that was left with us from the outdoors prespective. So far we've ran into a lot of empty promises.
Jumping into introductions... I am a 28 year old christian man, happily married, and I've been hunting since I could walk. For the last 3 years or so I've been bow only. Once we've gotten through the rebuilding stage I'll continue to be bow only. For years I was strictly Mathews, but after today, I think I'll be making a switch to Hoyt. Work wise, I own an entertainment company that specializes in Wedding DJ's and bar/restaurant karaoke. During the day I cut trees for Trees Inc. I'm a huge football and NASCAR fan. I say I play golf... but if you ever saw me play you'd say I slice more than a meat cutter. We live in North Tampa... I think they call this area "New" Tampa... Don't really know exactly. Regardless... hello to ya, now pass me a cold one and lets talk turkey.
