Well I'm going to give the shrimp dipping a whirl. From what I hear the winter shrimp are running on the east coast. I have a friend that has asked me to go with him shrimping. Over there they use dip nets with lights on the bottom of the river to light up the water so you can see the shrimp swimming by. the only way that I have ever shrimped is by throwing a cast net. I'll be leaving today around 1:00 and shrimp tonight on the out going tide. Hopefully we'll have some luck but it's like fishing you never know.

I will say that last night was a trip of all trips. If you love shrimp you need to take the time to learn the ins and outs and the do's and don'ts of shrimping. Where else are you going to be able to go out a get a5 gallon bucket of shrimp per night. You do the math. a 5 gallon bucket of shrimp weights 44 Lbs. X $10.00 a Lbs.

Yes sir!! That's a good haul right there!
We go shrimping every year. Funny thing is that I'm allergic to shrimp. I developed the allergy later in life so I can't eat shrimp, crab, or lobsters. But my inlaws love it cause it means fried jumbo shrimp for them!
It's always a fun time!
