was at a christmas festival in palmetto this weekend and some dork was tryin to sell smoked mullet for 8 bucks a fish. i walked away laughing.
Wow...didn't know people had such strong opinions about mullet! 🙂 I don't think you're going to throw a 10" or bigger size mullet on the end of your pole and try to use it for bait. At least I hope not...
I think I'll go with "agree to disagree" on this one!
ive used plenty of 10" mullet for live bait, and lost a lot of hooks that way. normally i like them smaller than that for bait, but when the bite is on, its on.
have heard of that, never tried it, also have heard of people just using their heads as bait the same way. maybe ill give that a try sometime.
yeah I use the 4-5-6" mullet for bait and throw the rest back as I am not going to use bigger for bait normally.
