I made some good dip out of some king fish I caught a few years ago. That's about all I care about with them. They are a blast to catch on light tackle. We were catching some nice kings and the cuda's were cutting them down. My son pulled up the head of a real nice one right at the boat.

i have seen the cudas tear some nice snook up out at the piers on anna maria, its depressing catching a decent fish and the damn barracuda cut 'em up.

Fresh macks, especially kings, on the grill done right is outstanding! Just got to cut out that bloodline to get rid of the fishy-ness. . Snook used to be considered awful for eating because they tasted like soap if you left the skin on. People that knew to fillet and skin them them knew better!

Allen, those are great fish, and awesome pictures. Steve, if you read this, remember that swimming is good exercise!

I was thinking the same exact thing, Gary. I fried them last night and did not tell my wife what it was. She thought it was excellent and she does not like a fishy tasting fish

Yep, give me some fresh kings and steak them out. I'll grill them up and if you don't ask for seconds I'll :lips: your wife's :ahole !

Done right they almost taste like beef. Gotta get that bloodline off, and they don't freeze well, but it's damn tasty!
