Headed out of maximo yesterday mornin' with a buddy of mine and decided to try our luck for kings and macs..First stop was skyway for bait,blacked out the live well with whitebait and filled a bucket up with threadies to chum with, then ran out to 12-14 foot of water..Set up a chum slick and nothin' so we headed northwest to 20ft and set up, started chummin and after about 10-15 minutes get slammed, missed that 1 then slammed again, finally the third hit is hooked and I am running around the boat, under the anchor line, fish screamin'!! Finally get it close enough to see it and its a king, my first..Not huge but about 15lbs on 15lb test..In the cooler!!! Ended up missing several more good fish but boated about 8 Big macs..and a couple sharks. Then ran inside and pick up a few trout..good day on the water..Man those kings are some pretty meat, steaked it out and can't wait to put it on the grill.. :toast Pics to follow
