Just getting back into saltwater fishing after a few years of serious hunting and airboating. Wondering if anyone cares to share a couple secret spots and tips in the Cocoa Florida area. I plan to mostly fish the Indian and Bananna Rivers of Brevard county. Trout and Redfish are the most likely choices. I do have kayacks and a couple of other boats. I am very familiar with the area and fished it growing up many years ago. Thanks in advance for any tips. Feel free to Pm me if you dont want to post in the forum.

Ted,
We crossed paths over on the SA forum a couple of times. We discussed hunting over there and shared a few stories. Sounds like we have a lot in common and should get together for a few beers and a hunt or fishing trip. I do air boat still and this year work kept me away from hunting so I am in search of some outdoor time before turkey season rolls back in. The 1000 islands and Pt St John are both convenient to me for ramps and I have been catching a lot of 12" trout. Just cant seem to find the reds or any larger trout.

I always remember catching more smaller trout when it was cold. I also did good on Red Fish. The question Is are the shrimp running.

I hear the shrimp are just starting to run and it has been pretty hit and miss.
