So are you all having a better season then last year?
Last year i only killed 1 hog and it was small and it was the last day of gen gun so i got lucky.
This year i got 2 hogs so far.. one with shotgun and one with my bow! trapped a few but that dont really count it just put meat in the freezer. Happy about that.. season is better this year. Still got more time too. So this is my best season so far.. The deer.. ill see how it goes this weekend.
I did not even go out last year. This year I've been out 4X with friends and had a great time.
Below average for me. Ive only put 2 deer in the freezer, which is ok. But I have never gone this far w/o killing one or more hogs. I'm baffled
Last year was the first time to get out and I did ok but this year I have hunted around 11 days with out any problems and I have done good.4 of the days were in early bow so I really was not hunting just scouting but it was a good time.All in all it was a great year saw many deer and way more turkey than I ever thought would be here.One group of turkey was 55 total with several large toms and one huge tom leading followed by jakes and hens.I saw 13 different bucks and many doe and buttons..well one button short he is sleeping in a freezer.
I have til Sunday that is last day for ML season and bow continues on til the 4th of Jan.
I haven't taken anything but that has a little to do with my huntin' partner, my dad. He keeps tearing up his ankles. Saturday night he broke a bone in his foot. Might have to put some time in without him. Missed a big body 8 during archery, seen a few bucks, and a few more does.
