Weekend of March 8th is the week before opening gobbler, week of April 27 is the weekend after it ends. Are these too close to the season, or would one of these work for anyone?

Most likely at trapper dan's place in Williston (Williston is about 20 miles or so SSW of Gainesville), unless for some reason he can't accommodate us on the date we choose. The last 2 years him and his crew have done a great job, no complaints that I know about!
Maybe a little info on this event for the newer folks is in order. This is meant to be a fun weekend, a chance to get to know some of the folks from the forum, sit around a fire and tell some tales, cook some good eats, maybe have a beer or drink together. We also aim to make it kid friendly and new hunter friendly, so they can learn some things from more experienced hunters, both about hunting and making the kill, and how to clean and care for the meat.
I'll let trapper dan fill in the info on how the hunts work, how many folks can hunt at once, hunting options, etc. If you have specific questions, just ask!
