Well where do I start. I had a blast. A lot of what makes for a great time in the woods is seeing folks do things for the first time and we had quite a bit of that. The accomplishments and those big smiles makes it all worth it. I was very impressed with every one especially the children this year. One of the reasons for this hunt ( among many ) is to get better at these types of things. We have all came a long way right down to the potpourri. LOL I will be anticipating next year until it gets here. It was truly a pleasure to see every one again and meet new friends. Thanks every one for the kind words. My family and I appreciate you guys coming to hunt with us.
Thanks again
Mike
Ps I really can't take a whole lot of credit for camp. My wife has been the one to lead the way (with what she has to work with ) to make it more comfortable for you guys. I think I spend to much time in the woods leaves are comfortable to me. LOL.
Sounds like everyone had a great time. I spent some quality time with family and friends this weekend but I'll make it to the next one.
Comgrats to all that went out and had a good time! Wish i could of made it but my schedule is so busy with work. Next time!
sounds like they just keep getting better. I was very tempted to go this year but stuff happens. I'm sure next one will be SRO.
Although I missed the first half of the weekend, the second half was great. It good to meet you GoodOyster and fishindad. TrapperDan, you lived up to the recomendations and good words put in for you on this forum.
The Sunday morning hunt was unproductive from the blind, the bay dogs tuckered out too quickly in the heat, but Mike stayed with it and got the catch dogs out. My first hog hunt didn't last long after that. I got a nice hog and after it was dressed, skinned, quartered, and on ice, we went out again and my buddy got a nice hog, too.

It was great to see people hanging out and being real, and not just a guide kissing up to his clients. I loved the women and children going out and watching the dogs and being involved. I hadn't previously spent much time in Florida, and had not really been impressed with what I had seen (except for the inagaural Daytona night race - that was pretty cool), but I had been always been stuck around the touristry crap. This time I was able to get away from the tourist traps of the over-commercialized coastline and meet the real people of Florida. Mike - maybe you should give M&D Outfitters a slogan something along the line of, "There is more to Florida than just a beach".
I had an awesome time, and Mike you did an outstanding job! :toast
