Are the worth the money on auto feeders how ling does it make a battery last compared to regular battery
its depends.. if you are using a 50 gal feeder its worth it because you dont have to fil it for at least 3 months.. but if you are using a small 5 gal feeder dont even waste your time because you are going ot have to pull it down to fill it so just change the battery when you fill the corn.
If you do make sure the solar panel and feeder are in the sun (most likely facing south) and youll be ok.
Not really necessary, IMHO. I have 2 feeders up since April last year. I just finally took the batteries out 2 weeks ago to charge them. One of them has a solar panel, it was at 6.45V
The other did not have a solar charger. It was at 6.2V.
You should get 6 months out of a charge, regardless
just put one on my feeder.
