mine is white, but there are carrying pouches ffor them that are black. when you're in a stand, color won't matter anyway.

Dang, y'all, I must be an ignorant cuss. What are these thermocell thingies? Never heard of them. I know I've been on a stand in Georgia during ML season, wishing I had more than a headnet!

Also, do they work against horse and deer flies? Up in GA those things are thicker than liberals at an anti-gun rally, and just as much a pain in the ass!

EDIT: OK, did a Google search, and I'm up to speed on what they are! Also saw they have a "compact" unit for around $10 online.

they are nice, if you are in a boat movin around alot they arent that effective, but in a blind or treestand or tent, any thing like that, they will keep the bugs away, skeeters and no see ums. i take mine camping and leave it set up where the kids will be sleeping alot. they are a worthy investment. if its breezy they arent that great but then again the bugs arent usually that bad. pick them up at walmart or walgreens.
