I'll let you shoot my 7mm a few times. After that your 30-06 will feel like shooting a cap gun

I think thats an understatement, but then again which 7mm are you talking about? Ilike the recoil on the 7mmWSM compared to the odd6. its more of a smooth shove as opposed to a violent slam and bounce
I have a Winchester model 70 7mm, and a Remington 7400 30-06. Personally I have gotten used to the recoil and it does not bother me a bit. I will say the 7mm does have a violent bounce to it and if you don't hold it good it will break a bone(Nose, cheek, etc). You can really tell the difference after shooting the 7, then switching to the -06, which is a semi auto

I had both of those once upon a time but when I got heavily into reloading and banchrest I dumped all my long actions in favor of the short action accuracy and efficiency then after studying bullet design and internal balistics, and the history of hunting calibers I dumped everything over bigger than my 260rem but I dumped that for a custom ruger in a 250 savage. after that got stolen out of my truck I settled for a 243 and set higher standards for my personal skills in the field and on the range
Driving tacks at 100 yrds plus. Stick a tack in your target and shoot it. Or a dime, NRA marksman you should know these things.
I met a guy in TN fresh out of the marines scout sniper that could shoot the center out of a 50 cent coin at 850 yrds, now thats impressive.
