you got me beat by a feww lbs, but I'm just under 5' 8", and didn't start getting planetary sized till close to 50 y/o. loose the wt before you end up with feet/knee/ and back issues like me, do it for your son, so you can continue to be able to get around with him. I walked a 2.7 mi trail a week ago, took me about 2 hrs, I used to walk 10 k for exercize in 1hr 15 min, and sometimes do it twice.

2 hours to walk 2.7 miles? dam man.. what you do stop and take pictures of berry bushes on the way.. that should take 30 mins tops.

that was hunting/scouting,stopping here and there to sit and listen, and check out smaller game trails, and carrying a shotgun. but was definately tired out. you get tired quicker carrying an extra hundred lbs or so everywhere you go.

im carrying a whole lot more and im good.. the reason is .. ive been in the woods all my life and my legs got used to the weight change little by little.. some people are heavy and start for the first time walking and its hard.

Carlos, youre not good, youre o.k. for now. the wt is putting alot of extra wear and tear on your joints, and over time will develope issues. think if you overloded your truck all the time and drove high miles on rough roads. take it from someone who has been there and done that. don't mean to preach. If I would've listened to my own advice I would'nt be this freakin big. if I knew I was gonna get this old I'd have taken better care of myself. nobody that realy knows me well ever thought I'd make it past 21, ( being such a smart ass and all, even by N.Y. standards ). all the "bumps" I took in my youth (teens- 30's ) are coming back to haunt me now.
