Looking for a snake gun to carry in the woods. Doesn't need to be the prettiest just need to work. Something i can load up with rat shot.

Buy a .38 or .357 Snubbie Revolver that you can carry as a concealed carry gun and carry as a snake gun. One gun, two functions...
Totally agree. Thats the exact reason I got a .357 snubbie. You can use snake rounds or normal. Your choice. Its pretty nice.
a judge with the 410 would probly be better for snakes but more difficult to carry and conceal if wanted. a 357 snubbie is pretty darned near ideal 1-2 shots of snake and the rest hot 357 loads and easy to carry and conceal. other revolvers with up to 4" bbl's in 357, 44 special,41 mag,45 long or acp,44mag wouldn't be bad. the semis would depend on how they function with the rat shot. I realy like the 45 acp semi but gotta get aroung to trying rat shot in it.
