Talk about the 44 mag here, I am looking to buy one and want the lightest..so please discuss...I picked up a marlin carbine and it was way heavy too heavy for carrying in the bush..

I have a Ruger 44 mag, one of the early 1960 models (NOT FOR SALE ) Love this gun great for 100 yards and very light. Holds 5 rounds and is semi auto. Last I checked you could find they for around $400 to $600 well worth the money in my book.

thats what im looking in to. some of the ones on gunbroker are beat up pretty good and they still want 500 for them. seen a few that were in the 5-700 range, and some that were more. that one there looks better than most of the ones on GB

PCB - that's a nice shooter ya got there. If you EVER get board with it and need a change of pace, lemme know. I'm sure I could find a way to dig up some money someplace. I really like Rugers in that style.
