Thinning out the collection. This rifle is in good shape and been collecting dust. I inherited it a while back and never use it. The Nylon 66 is a very unique firearm and VERY reliable. This particular one is in Mowhawk Brown. This is a very light weight and accurate rifle!

that's part of their unique charm, one of the first to use nylon/plastic in guns. that one appears in very good shape. unfortunately they made a lot of them. when the m-16's first came out they said the M stood for Matel, and looked like something GI JOE had, lol. now look how popular they are.

fishindad, Those Nylon 66s are fine little rifles but they aren't quite like a Timex. I had one with a Weaver K-2.5 with a post reticle, carried in the truck all the time. We rented a field back in the late '70s next to an airstrip to plant soybeans. There was a pair of red foxes living on that farm, back then they were not protected and I wanted a red fox hide. I got my rifle scabbard off my saddle and attached it to the back of the tractor seat and shoved my little 66 in the boot and went on my way multitasking, disking and fox hunting. After several rounds I looked back and my scabbard was empty, dangling upside down behind the tractor. Retraced my path and found the rifle at the other end of the field. The disk blades were 9 inches apart and they did quite a number on the Remington. Even bent the barrel, the scope had one dent in it but was ruined also. I kept the scope as a reminder and I'll share its' picture with you. It took a lickin' and quit! Still they are great rifles. Treefarmer
