About two years ago, a young guy I know had just come upon hard times. Due to the economy and things, both he and his wife had lost their jobs. He was put in the position of having to sell this gun that his father had given him when he was much younger. He said his dad and him and gone squirrel hunting with it one time and that was about all he had used it. Another guy I know was trying to buy it from him to resell it and already had a buyer. I hated to see him have to lose a gun that his Dad had given him and so I gave him more than the other guy was offering, and more than I thought the gun was probably worth so that he could make his mortgage payment. I told him that he could buy the gun back at anytime for the same price but at least he wouldn't lose the gun. I really thought he would do that... I really didn't need or want the gun and actually it was probably not real smart on my part, but he was a good guy, and again being a father I hated to see this happen. He moved out of town about a year ago and has never contacted me about the gun so.....
Can anyone tell me about the value of this little rifle?...I have shot it, it works fine, shoots straight, and is in LIKE NEW condition. It has one clip, but I think you can still buy clips and parts for this gun. I really don't need it, and I don't think I'm going to hear from him again. What can I say, I tried.
100-150 is what the my uneducated guess is. Plus the price for the scope! One on gunbroker for $225.00 in Oregon
It is only worth what someone will pay...would be a good first gun for someone with a youngin.
Yep...it is what it is....I gave the guy $200 for it, thinking he would for sure buy it back....if I can get close to that...ok...if not, I'll just put it aside for my grandson.....but it wont be his first one.....got a little single shot for that.
Dave that was a nice thing you did for a guy that was jammed up
