I'm looking for a single shot 410. H&R would be my first choice but open to others. Not really interested in pump or bolt actions since this will be for my daughter. Do you guys have anything you want to part with? Since I'm not looking to spend a whole lot, I'm not expecting new condition. Just something she can use as her first shotgun.
I don't know about the prices of shell nowadays, but used to be the .410 was just outrageous compared to the 20 ga. If your daughter can handle the 20 ga. recoil, you might be ahead by looking for a 20 ga. youth single shot H&R-New England with a good recoil pad. There's certainly a lot more loads available with the 20, plus there is a considerable larger shot string with the 20 ga. which makes for cleaner kills. Just my opinion and experience from years ago.

I have a full size H&R 20g, but it's still too big for her without cutting the stock. I'll keep searching, but if anyone has any leads, please let me know.
