the one from the SG isn't really for archers anyhow, it doesn't have the ARC function or whatever its called. im sure its still close from up in a tree but archery isn't the reason i wanted one. i usually step off visual aids while archery hunting too.

you dont need the arc unless your shooting from a HIGH incline.. like hunting in the mountains or something.. thats just my opinion.

I agree or if you get way the hell up in a tree. But if your sitting 15-20ft up and its 20-25yd shot the incline wont be a huge factor. But should still practice shooting a few rounds at a target from your stand. Not set up in the woods, back at camp or at home. One of the guys i hunt with practices shooting from up on his roof

I have the ARC on mine and it is neat to have, but not necessary

i shoot from my roof, couple of weeks before archery season opens.
