the reason i ask is because the one most golfers use are the nikon yardage pro and they are not good for hunting because they are no good on low light, hammocks, early day or when the sun is going down.. LOL.. thats why homeboy!> lol just want to make sure if you go through the trouble to send it to me to borrow (which i am highly greatfull) that i would be able to use it!..

You ought to see some of the woods I've had to take readings out of using this thing! I've hit my golf ball into thicker woods than a lot of guys hunting in WMAs dare to tread in!
This model is a few years old, called the Nikon ProStaff LASER 440, and it's the same unit as the Nikon Team REALTREE LASER 440, just it's solid green, no camo. It's water-resistant, 8x zoom, measures from 11yards out to 437 yards. It doesn't have an illuminated display, but works fine in low-light conditions. I've been out playing at 6:30 am and 8:30pm and used it with no problem.
