you could probly find a 20-24" smoothbore bbl with removeable chokes and use that for slugs/buckshot/turkeys, and the 28" for trap, dove, ducks, anything else that flies. somebody better buy it quick as the more work/time he puts in it, the higher the price is gonna go. wish I bought it for 300$, but I got enough projects as it is.
no doubt if the extra $$ was there i would jump on it. probably would have before it was cleaned up. would look good next to my 1100 spoting in 20 guage.
I have an interested buyer, I will let you know if it "happens".
me and GB each did a first for us both and bought back our own guns, that we had sold coincidentally to each other, his was a 20 ga rem 1100. hated to part with it and it was hard and expensive to find a comparable replacement. it was a 2 3/4" chambered fixed choke bbl also, but was able to easily find a 22?" smoothbore bbl with open rifle sights for 130$ I believe. a nice usefull combo. should be able to find a shorter smoothbore bbl for the 12 ga 1100 also I imagine.

The 26" vent rib barrel has scew-in chokes and a 21" smooth bore rifle sighted barrel was right at $130, but we got a deal on a Remington original barrel for it....
