WTB ruger 22 cal handgun looking to get first pistol for wife pm me with any info if you have one locally im in pinellas county
I assume your talking about the semi auto, not the single six ( which is a nice single action that comes with a spare cylinder for 22 magnum)
my first ruger 22 auto was was the mk1 target type, nice gun but got stolen, the next was the mk 2 gov't mdl with bull bbl, even better. they are now onto the mk3 but i'm not hearing such great things about them. they have great accuracy and dependability, but are a bit of a pain in the butt to strip and re-assenmble. there are afer market devices that make stripping/re-assembly easier. you can go full blown custom on it and send it to clarks custom gunsmithing and get back one sweet gun. I preferred the longer heavier barrels, you can even get them fluted. if for a woman she may prefer the shorter/thinner bbl versions. sold both my ruger auto and single six for a S&W 10 shot target 22 revolver with "maybe" a little better accuracy, but you don't have to bend over and pick up brass, wish I had all 3.
just for shooting for the wife ive got a 45 cal for personal defense just want the semi auto not revlolver its for the wifey to have a good time with at the range anything bigger is too much for her
There is a nice little gun shop on the South side of SR 580 in Dunedin. They have pretty good prices. Also there is Gun City on US19 in Palm Harbor. I have bought from both places.
Brittons has guns too up on ALT 19 in Tarpon Springs, just south of the hospital
