I hunt alone alot and have to get creative at times to get heavy game up into car or truck. one simple method that worked well alot was 2- pieces of 1/2" or so rope and 2 heavy carabiners. the long rope had a carabiner on one end to throw over a brach and clip onto a gambrel, then attatched to the deers legs. app in the middle of the long rope I would tie a simple loop knot for the second carabiner, the end of the rope got tied to the bumper of car/truck and hoisted up to the desired height. then the short rope would go thru the free carabiner and wrapped around the trunk of the tree with the branch the deer is hanging on. then pull the car forward and untie the rope from the bumper and you can back the car/truck right under the deer and lower it right in. I also have one of those two wheel pulley set ups but think it's harder to use.more often now I use 2-3 sections of 2-3" nylon webbing with a hand sized loop sewn on each end instead of rope. that is better for dragging than rope cuz its flat and doesn't cut into you as much, or you can fashion it arounnd your chest and shoulders and drag with your legs instead of hands

I've used a couple ratchet straps paired up to lift deer alone into the bed of my truck. It takes a while, but it's about the only way to do it sometimes. That "crane" would be real nice to have, or at least something like it.

It swivels 360 deg's. If you look at the picture of it folded in truck the part that goes into the hitch on vehicle has a round pipe and the square tubing that makes up the crane has a round pipe in the end that let's it swivel 360 deg. and you can put a pin in it to lock it in place. we have used to to skin a 240lb deer thats the biggest dont know how much the Geberator weighs though. I tried to lift my Dixie chopper up to change the blades and that was too much it bent the Round pipe, I am going to order thicker pipe for my next one. that is my 4th, got most of bug's worked out. I works great for traveling we go to georgia and ohio every year it works great when you have to stay in motels,
I also made a 4 way outlet plug that plugs into trailer hitch so we can plug a clamp on light with a 100 watt 12v. rv bulb and a little portable wash down pump w/ 3gal. container. it takes the rough out of roughing it when you shoot one on an evening hunt.
