Going to try it this week end for gun. Never been there but still expect to have fun. My bud Dan and I both have permits. Is there any camping there without camping permits?
I used to hunt there a lot. There are deer in there, but you have to put in a lot of work to find them. I've never killed anything in there, but I've seen a lot of does. After they logged the area I usually hunted, things changed and I haven't put much time to find new areas.
There are a lot of people that go there so you might get walked up on.
I don't think you can camp there without a permit, but I've heard of people sharing a campsite. So if you become friends with someone there, you might be able to share their site. A few dollars may help you find a temporary campsite.

I read there first come first served permit sits. Wonder how fast they go. I was thinking it would be along the lines of Tiger Bay, The fist gun permit is best.
You know the saying cant kill one from your couch. Have to go to try.
Nothing moving. I know there some deer found fresh scrapes and hog rooting. It was kind pf discouraging peoples attitude (other hunter & game warden) about getting a buck out of there.
