went out to chazz today.

well yesterday i just stayed home all day and painted one of my stands and went through my stuff and changed batteries and stuff like that..i try to hunt at least once every weekend.. so i woke up at 11 and told my wife.. ok lets shower and go out to hunt.. So we showered and got dressed and got my son dressed.. Left the house 12 and by the time we stopped to eat we made it to chazz at 2 and go to the place i park at by 230.

So they just took a chainsaw and went texas chainsaw massacre all over chazz. So much that i would not even find the place i used to park. They dropped trees all over the main trails basically covering them up. so im like ok this is good noone can find my trails!. Yea right.. they blew new fire brakes with a instructional manual with arrows to my spot i go to. Before you had to just go through some thick stuff and on and off different 4 way trails.. Somoene just made a straight path to it now.. lol.. didnt find that out until i got there. heres why.

So im walking down one of the main brakes that is on the way to the spot i hunt. as im walking about 100 yards away i see what looks like a person laying down in the bushes. The reason i saw him was cause his face was white as day but he was completely covered in camo. So i was walking with my wife and son and i walk up to this guy. and me and my wife and son are looking at him. Like 2 feet from him. So i tell my wife not for nothing he looks dead. So she says dont touch him im scared.. well shes scared cause hes laying on the ground with a gun. So i say i have to do the right thing and check on him. So i first start just stomping in the ground to see if hes just playing dead. Nothing.. So i tell my wife.. OK this guy has to be an asleep. Basically the sound of me, my wife, and son 2 feet from him didnt even wake him up. So i poke him and say "hey buddy you ok" and nothing. Im like ah man this guy might be dead. So i get on my knees and try to feel his neck for a heartbeat, and say wait let me poke him again. He has a loaded gun and he might get scared so i push him and say YO MAN you alive. LOL He wakes up with drule on his mouth and is suprised like im an alien. I say yo man i was just checking to see if you were alive. He says "na man thanks i was sleeping and so is my boy right there." Points to another guy knocked out cold sleeping 20 feet from him across the road. I just tell him "look man i walking about a half mile back behind you , if im walking back in the dark dont shoot me man, and PUT ON YOUR HUNTER ORANGE MAN" Hes like ok. Like he would of woke up and saw me anyway. lol

So i get to my spot with my wife and son and we sit. Well my wife and son just keep making noise oh well its ok whatever. So i get up and look around. I didnt see nothing but a deer running across the road 150 yards away. I could not even scope him he went across so fast.

So we walk back at 6 past the sleeping beauties ,and notice like 10 other oranges walking around then go back to the truck and drive back to 19 and head home. Saw one deer running across the road and that was cool for my son and wife to see.

All in all i had a great time hunting with the family. My wife was impressed on how my son noticed hog and deer prints and showed her the difference. Then she was really impressed on how good my son is at using the bleet can. I was proud of him.

So we drove back home and on the radio "watching you comes on" the country song about a boy and his dad and that just made the day perfect!
