Yeah they tend to do that. Usually they have a collar with owners info,we greatly appreciate when we get a call when one is missing. I've used tracking collars for the last 15 years and have not lost one dog since.If the dog has no collar,it has been dumped and should be humanely euthanized.Better that then to let it starve to death. However there are some that poach private property at night that don't use collars. We've rescued a few off of 19 over the years with no collar that turned out to be good dogs.
As far as skinny goes though,some of mine look like that from running every week,that's called hardened down and in shape.My male dog looks like a walking stick,he'll fatten back up after season.
But yea I agree 100 percent with yall, if you own animals have respect for em and take care or em the best you can.if you can't handle that then give em to someone who can. Kinda the same deal with the pythons and non native species, they can't handle em and let them lose.

Interesting, I don't know much about dog hunting lol..I do like listening to em when they got something bayed up or trailing something though , pretty cool stuff.
So that's where my sister's dog got to, eh?
