Got two more hogs this weekend. One 50 lb boar I shot being run and a good boar I caught this morning. I brought my old strike dog out of retirement and she's making the magic happen again. I put her on a track this morn and she took it straight away so I added my 3 pups,Bullet and Jan. Right away Bullet started hitting good then Jan. They trailed straight away so I rolled around the block and got in front of them. They were about 50 yards from the road when they got hot. I heard something hit the hog,a loud grunt then 6 dogs baying. Nothing sounds better than that except that my puppys were in,that made it awesome. I let my cur dog loose and she went straight in and caught it. I got in there and was trying to leg the hog and he shook them loose but they stopped hin within 20 yards and held him that time. I got him legged and flipped himand put a knee on him,then sent some steelt to his heart. I'll get some pics up later. He was about 150 with some teeth.
Sounds exciting, never caught um that way before..
That little cur dog in the rig box Sandy held this hog till I legged it and stuck it. She never even got a scratch,luckily. Not bad for a 11/2 yr old dog. That's the best one she's caught so far.
