Hmm, the Phalanx uses the same 20mm Gatling gun we had on the F-4, F-16, F-15, AC-130, and many other planes, and it ain't really rimfire or centerfire - the rounds are electrically fired. Don't see anything against electrically fired ammo, so it must be allowed!
