i am gonna vent. if this gets deleted even though no rules were broke, i will know this ain't a very public forum. i would like for the captains to pm me over these last deer that were posted. there is clearly 3 dead deer with signs.... at the least should be 15 points. my one doe didn't have much of a head left to post. thought that wouldn't be respectful to the animal to post it. anyways, hellbilly's deer is another story. still a dead deer with a sign. can't see the horns in the first pic but can in the second. but the second doesn't have a sign. cool. wouldn't have been able to read the sign anyways with a cell pic. Enough on that.
The fun is being sucked out of my hunting season with all the nit-picking. I am contemplating just withdrawing from this contest and enjoying my season. haven't made up my mind yet. If i have to fight and argue over how many points we get , the fun is gone. Next thing somebody will want is a paper signed by 2 witnesses or a pic of the game warden with your deer. too much.
Kemster, I was wondering about all that hassle to get a sign, take pics, hunting by yourself, middle of the night, 2 pics or 1...a bit of trouble...
I'm not a mod and don't have any pull or say so, but feel there has to be some amount of trust and honor involved especialy when concerning 2 well known and respected long time members. I'd hate to lose either of these 2 guys over something so trivial. this was supposed to be all about fun remember. in Scotts case he's claiming 2- does and has pics and signs with 2- dead animals. I was not aware of the head shot in the photo rule, but trust his word. HB provided a pic within a short period of time proving it had forks. working with a phone camera at dusk is not easy and can see how the spikes/name card could have been out of frame.for the sake of harmony I say give each full points for what they are claiming, which I and I believe everybody else believes is true also, or do we need to take another vote?
I say give them the points, it aint that big of a deal. This contsest was for BS and a good laugh,if we can't believe our friends on a contest with no prize than who can we. I don't have a problem with any of the 3 deer,let's not get so extreme to where we lose friends. We need a few guidelines but I certainly wouldn't post up a pic of a deer with a blowed up head. Lets keep it fun.
